The profile sought

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, financial requirements, and internal controls for the company and six holding entities.
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in Navision, along with Group reporting in Tagetik (Intercos and Balance Sheet reporting under IFRS).
• Collaborate with the team on balance sheet cleanup in preparation for the JDE migration.
• Prepare and submit all mandatory reports for finance and tax authorities (e.g., VAT, Intrastat, Dutch National Bank) for the company and six holding entities.
• Serve as the primary local contact for external auditors and ensure adherence to their requirements.
• Partner with other departments, providing financial expertise and support when needed.
• Provide backup support to team members (e.g., Accounts Payable) when required.
• Optimize cash management by monitoring local cash flow, factoring programs, Group netting, and cash pooling operations; prepare regular cash forecasts.
• Actively contribute to the Benelux accounting transformation roadmap by:
  • Playing a key role in testing and implementing the new ERP system.
  • Driving continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings.

Profile

• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or taxation.
• Solid understanding of Dutch GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Advanced IT proficiency; experience with Navision or JDE is a strong asset.
• Fluent in Dutch (written and spoken) with excellent command of English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Naturally curious, eager to learn, and demonstrating strong growth potential.
• Fast learner with a results-driven mindset.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative.
• Capable of balancing strategic thinking with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced skills.
