We are looking, for one of our clients in Brussels, for an Accounting & Tax Manager.

Location: Diegem, Brussels

Salary: 5000 -7000 € monthly gross depending on your profile and previous experience

The profile sought

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Ensure compliance with Local Accounting Standards.
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and accurate classification of expenditures.
• Analyze and review general ledger accounts to maintain financial integrity and ensure timely reporting.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, including payment planning and aged accounts.
• Manage Accounts Receivable follow-ups with credit controllers.
• Support internal and external stakeholders (Auditors, Authorities, Operations, etc.).
• Prepare monthly and annual VAT returns and ensure tax compliance.
• Assist with the annual Income Tax return and ad hoc requests.
• Contribute to financial reporting and prepare BE statutory accounts.
• Coordinate with foreign Accountants for local compliance (NL & LU).
• Collect data for budgeting and optimize financial systems for accuracy.
• Lead and support the accounting team, including hiring, training, and development. 
   

What would work?

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Belgium in a similar position, ideally in a Big Four, a Fiduciary or a large SME ;
• Excellent self-organization, you also describe yourself as a team player and are looking to bring your knowledge to your department;
• You have a coaching spirit and you like to bring your colleague to a higher level.
• You have knowledge of BE GAAP and Tax rules. Knowledg with LUX GAAP or NL GAAP are nice to have;
• Ideally you already have an experience with Navison ;
• You have a professional capacity in Dutch and French, English would be great too ;
