Salary: 4000– 5200 EUR

The profile sought

As a GL Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Accounts: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Accounts Consolidation and Reconciliation: Reviewing and consolidating financial data across multiple entities.
• Supporting Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closings: Assisting in the timely and accurate completion of financial close processes.
• Preparation of VAT/CIT Declarations: Supporting the preparation and filing of VAT/CIT returns and other compliance reports for 10 EU countries.
• Financial Statements and Statistical Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and other statutory reports.
• Monthly Reporting and Analysis: Providing financial reports and analysis to other departments.
• European Accounting Experience: Handling VAT declarations and other compliance needs specific to European regulations, leveraging US GAAP experience where necessary.

Who are you?

• International mindset, and you are able to work with change (flexible);

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a General Accounting role;
• Knowledge of accounting principles such as Belgian GAAP;
• Knowledge of taxation, VAT/CIT principles and non-deductible costs are considered an asset;
• Analytical mindset and a high levels of ownership/independence;
• Strong Excel knowledge;
• Strong communication skills in English (Business Proficiency);
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
