For one of our international clients in the industrial automation and high-tech sector, we are looking for a Senior GL Accountant ready to take ownership and grow in a dynamic European environment.

This is more than a traditional accounting role. You will act as the right hand of the Finance Manager and gain exposure to multiple European entities within a structured and ambitious organization.

The profile sought

Your responsibilities

As Senior GL Accountant, you will:

• Take ownership of the balance sheet and P&L
• Manage accounting activities for Belgium and part of Germany
• Perform reconciliations and consolidation activities
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closings
• Assist in VAT and Corporate Income Tax declarations
• Contribute to financial statements and statutory reporting
• Deliver monthly reporting and financial analysis to internal stakeholders

You combine operational accuracy with analytical insight and a strong sense of ownership.

Your profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a General Ledger accounting role
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and Belgian taxation
• Comfortable working in a manual accounting environment
• Familiar with VAT/CIT regulations and non-deductible expenses
• Strong Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus
• Analytical, autonomous and hands-on
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
