Location: Vilvorde
Salary: €5,000 to €6,500 gross/month (depending on your profile)

The profile sought

As a Head of Accounting you are responsible for financial management and the accurate handling of accounting activities. You ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. You play a key role in optimizing financial processes and work closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise general accounting activities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for management
  • Manage tax filings (VAT, corporate income tax, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies
  • Optimize accounting processes
  • Supervise and support the accounting team

Your Profile:

  • You have a strong expertise in AP and GL, and exposure to billing and customer follow-up;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to work independently in a decentralized environment without direct CFO supervision;
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to change, with a strong team spirit, positive attitude;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or an equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum of approx. 10 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax regulations;
  • Fluent in French, with good understanding of Dutch and English
