The profile sought

Key Responsibilities: 

For this position you will serve as a vital contributor to the Internal Control Framework and keep the Finance & Admin Manager informed about declarations, bottlenecks, and problems.

  • Prepare and process outgoing payments.
  • Oversee and verify the daily processing of data in the SAP system, focusing on Sales, AR, AP. 
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and file VAT declarations and income tax declarations.
  • Handle Intrastat declarations and other CBS declarations.
  • Participate in financial audit preparations and support the audit process.
  • Assist in month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and the integrity of financial data.
  • Perform monthly inventory and accrual journal entries, fine-tuning goods movements and discrepancies.
  • Provide detailed information from the general ledger as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with payment terms.
  • Investigate opportunities for greater efficiency or improved processes, proposing enhancements to procedures, workflows, and resource utilization.

Who Are You? 

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting practices, principles, and procedures 
  • You are an enthusiastic team player who is a self-starter (proactive in your work, you are not afraid to go ask for help). 
  • Analytical and process-oriented.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and NL GAAP is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with financial software (SAP) and related tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Understanding of Internal Control Frameworks.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus.
